Richard Jucutan

Richard “Michael” Jucutan was born to Anne and Richard Jucutan on May 30, 1965 in Manteca, CA. He passed on December 10, 2016 after a recent diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer. Richard was raised in Tulare, CA and attended Tulare City Schools. He graduated from Tulare Union in 1983 where he was an outstanding water polo and swim athlete. He earned numerous individual and team awards including “Most Inspirational”. After high school, Richard joined the US Navy where he began his career as an avionics technician on F/A 18 jets aboard the USS Midway. He received many commendations including the National Defense silver medal and a Good Conduct medal. His service was extended for 8 months following the end of his tour of duty at the request of the US Government. While proud to be a Navy veteran, he never bragged nor boasted of his service. Richard continued his education and graduated from Fresno State University with a Business Law degree. He went on to work for Fresno County as a systems and procedures analyst. He was meticulous at his work and always insisted on perfection. He will be hard to replace. Richard lived his life simply. He was humble and peaceful even until the end. We would like him to be remembered for his kindness, compassion and generous love for his momma. Michael is survived by his parents Rich and Anne Jucutan, his sisters Stephanie (Eck) and Missi Jucutan, his best friend, George Garcia and his beloved cat, Padme. Michael is also remembered and loved by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Seth Brazier, Dr. Spencer Anderson, Shawn Cardoza, NP and the doctors and nurses at Kaweah Delta Hospital for their outstanding compassion and care. The family also wishes to thank Marilyn Davis, Crystal Boling and Kathy Fagundes for their love and support. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 27 at 11:00 am at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. A reception will be held immediately after.
