Richard Magee Fox

On Monday, October 28th, 2024 Richard Fox passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and children by his side. He had been battling Parkinson's Disease and was also diagnosed earlier this year with Lewy Body Dementia. Richard was a beloved figure in the Visalia community, was born to Margaret and Henry Fox and shared a lively childhood with his brother, David. They were born and raised in the town of Visalia, California. Richard attended Whitney and Redwood High Schools, graduating from Redwood. He was active in sports, playing Little League baseball and later taking on football in high school. For 45 years, Richard ran Visalia Glass Shop, earning a reputation as a hardworking and respected businessman. He was dedicated to his craft and always went the extra mile to help others. Friendship was incredibly important to Richard. He has a tight-knit group of core friends, many of whom he'd known since grade school. He cherished these relationships, considering them as family. Outside of work, Richard loved riding motorcycles and classic cars, always finding joy in the thrill of the ride with his wife and buddies. He was a fan of movies, especially old Westerns. Music was another passion-he loved cranking up classic '70s rock and country tunes while cooking dinner. Richard will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him, especially his devoted wife, Joni, with whom he spent 27 years, and his wonderful kids Trisha, Daniel, Christine, and Allison. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Eric, Preston, Carter, Francesca, Rylie, Gracyn, Landyn, and Ady. Richard's legacy of hard work, loyalty, and friendship will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. A private Celebration of Life was held by the family. Richard donated his brain to further neurological research into Lewy Body dementia.
