Raymond Faz Ybarra

Raymond was born September 11, 1956 at Connor Hospital in San Jose, CA to Carmen and Fred B. Ybarra. They made their home in Tulare, CA. Raymond attended Wilson Elementary School in kindergarten until Frank Kohn Elementary School was built and he was one of the first students there. He then attended Cherry Ave. Junior High School, and then on to Tulare Union High School where he graduated in 1975 and was a proud Redskin. He also attended COS. Raymond loved street/hot rods. As a young man he put together a model t bucket. In 1976 he purchased a 1923 Ford T Bucket and it is still at home with his wife. He loved car shows, cruise nights, auto swap meets, flea markets, antique stores, the LA Rams, NHRA Drag Racing, and most of all he loved his family. Raymond was a hard worker starting from a young age until he retired in 2018 from the Local Laborers Union # 294. He had a very strong work ethic. He would work on the weekends doing landscaping, cutting wood and helping any friend that needed work to be done. On December 19, 1997 he met Linnetta and her children. On May 31, 2008 he and Linnetta were married, they enjoyed 16 years of marriage and their 26 years together. Raymond and Linnetta loved to travel and visited all lower 48 states in their minivan with multiple trips to the central coast. They traveled many country roads to see all the small towns and saw all 20 NHRA Drag Racing Strips and visited many friends in different states. Raymond was predeceased by his father, mother, his brother Fred, his brother Bob, his brother Benny, his nephew Mark Duran, and his great nephew Baby Lowe. Raymond is survived by his wife Linnetta, his step-daughter Brittney (Siglo), his step-son Devin, his grandbabies; Serayah and Siglo Jr., his sister Gloria (Rey) Duran, his mother-in-law Cleota Mustin, his sister-in-law Kim and her husband Dustin, who was Raymond's right hand man, sister-in-law Shelley (Martin) Del Real. He is also survived by his nieces, Lisa (Gary) Lowe and Meilsa Buchanan. His nephews, Lenny (Irene) Duran and Rey Duran Jr., great nephews and 1 great niece, as well as great great nieces and nephews. He also loved his many friends who he loved as family. His Celebration of Life service will be August 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 631 N. Chinowth, Visalia, CA 93291. A Reception will follow. Raymond's family would like to give a special thank you to Lisa Lowe, Gentiva Hospice, his nurse Sara, Bernie Murick, Carol and Lydia at Dr. Bryson's office.
