NAME: Raymond Gutierrez Perez AGE: 85 RESIDENT OF: Visalia DATE OF DEATH: 3-3-2015 OCCUPATION: Housekeeping Supervisor PLACE OF DEATH: Visalia Raymond G. Perez, Sr. of Visalia entered into the loving arms of the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 while surrounded by his loving family. Raymond was born on March 26, 1929 in Hanford, California to John and Mary Perez. In 1947 he enlisted in the Armed Forces and served in the US Army. Later that year he married the love of his life, Jennie Tovar, and together they settled in Hanford and started their family. In 1955 they moved to Santa Clara and then relocated to Visalia in 1975. Raymond worked for Barnes-Hines Pharmaceuticals in Sunnyvale, Bostitch and Westgate Gardens in Visalia and then for Walmart in Tulare. Raymond enjoyed taking trips to the casino with his daughters, getting together with his sons to watch The Three Stooges, football and boxing, dancing with his beautiful wife & daughters, and loved giving hugs and kisses to all. We will best remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Jennie Perez; and is survived by 3 sons, Raymond Perez II (Debbie), John Perez and Arthur Perez (Marla) all of Visalia; 4 daughters, Janet Lea (James) of Caldwell, Id.; Anna Marie Hernandez (Carlos) of Sacramento; Evelyn Galvan (Gilbert) of Visalia; Carolyn Galvan (Daniel) of Hanford; 1 sister, Nettie Chavez of Hanford; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Monday, March 9, 2015, visitation will be held from 4-6pm at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel with a Rosary and Celebration of Life immediately following. A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Hanford. SURVIVED BY; PRECEDED IN DEATH BY; VISITATION WILL BEGIN 4 PM till 6 PM on Monday 9, 2015 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. SERVICES: A rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Monday 9, 2015 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. A mass of Christian burial will held at 10 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Visalia.
