Pauline Lupe Pena

It is with deep sadness that the family of Pauline Lupe Pena announces her peaceful passing on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the age of 93. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, love, and devotion to her family. Pauline was born on March 2, 1932, in Visalia, California. She was hardworking and devoted to helping her parents raise her 12 siblings. She graduated from Visalia Union High School in 1950 and worked for Linda Loma Ranch, Bayly Corporation, and the Housekeeping Industry. On September 29, 1957, she married the love of her life Julian M. Pena and moved to Tulare, California. Together they were blessed with four wonderful children. She was an exceptional and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was so proud of all of them. Pauline lived a righteous life; she was a devout Catholic and believed in her faith. She had many friends and family that she enjoyed spending time with, and her love was unconditional. Everyone who visited her was always greeted with a smile, and kindness, and no one left without a homemade meal. Pauline enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening, fishing, sewing, and dancing, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family and making memories. They were the joy of her life. Pauline passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She will forever be remembered by her husband Julian of 68 years, her children, Patricia Pena (George Alvarado), Gloria (Robert) Ortiz, Angelina (Eliseo) Arzola, Julian (Yvonne) Pena Jr. Pauline will also be remembered by her 10 loving grandchildren, Daniel Pena, Sequra Pena, Anthony Ortiz (Tatiana), Jacob Ortiz (Brenda), Mikayla Ortiz, Krystle (Ricky) Perez, Adrian Arzola (Ashlee), Aaron Arzola (Raeann), Julian Pena III & Venezia Pena, 16 great-grandchildren, her seven sisters, Narcissa (Robert) Medrano, Veronica (Manuel) Diaz, Marcelina (John) Hernandez, Mary Puffer, Louisa Herrera, Clara Sotelo, Anita (Steve) Crotty, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Her memory will forever be cherished, and she will forever be missed and lovingly remembered. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Pomposa Ortiz, her brothers and sisters, Roberta (Daniel) Ramirez, Katherine (Salvador) Chavez, Tony Ortiz, Julian (Carmen) Ortiz, Margaret Ramirez, brothers-in-law Fred Puffer and Robert Sotelo, a niece and numerous nephews. The Pena family would like to extend their gratitude and sincere appreciation to Barbara's In-Home Care Services, Compassionate Care Home Health and Hospice caregivers and extended family who gave unselfishly of their time to assist with her care. Thank you. Visitation will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 21st, 2026 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Thursday, January 22nd, 2026 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 954 S. O ST., Tulare. Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Thursday, January 22nd, 2026 at North Tulare Public Cemetery, 4572 North J. St., Tulare.
