Paula Sandoval Gonzales

Paula Sandoval Gonzales was born to Manuela and Daniel Sandoval June 18, 1937 in Cottonwood, New Mexico and was peacefully reunited with her husband of 64 years, Domingo, on Valentine's Day, 2024. The Sandoval family made their way west with stops in Buttonwillow and other small towns before settling in Goshen, California where she later met and married Domingo in 1956. Paula attended elementary school in Goshen and later Visalia High School. After working many years in the fields, and packing houses, she embarked on a career in education as a Teacher's Aide at Houston Elementary, Redwood High School, and finally retiring from Mt. Whitney. She was also involved in the Catholic Church (Holy Family) and the Cursillo Movement serving in many different capacities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo; parents, Manuela and Daniel Sandoval, brothers, Louie, Martin, Ben, Abran, and Jesse, sisters Molly, Eloisa, and Anita, and grandson, Daniel. She is survived by her siblings Mary, Ynocencia (Sandy/Chencha), Carol, Margie, Daniel (Jr.), Armando, George, Raquel, Jaunita, and Rosie. her children Kris (Fernando), Steve (Patricia), Terry (Terry Anne), Gilbert, Paul (Lori), David (Angela); 10 grandchildren Veronica, Alisia, Richard, Ryan, Christopher, Alexandra, Maxwell, Jake, Liliana, and Drew; and 11 great-grandchildren Cruz, Chase, Josiah, Analiz, Rio, Atzi, Remy, Tessa, Margaret, Irene, and Gabrielle. We would like to say a special thank you to our sister Kris (Fernando) for her tireless care along with the hospice team of Angela, Yasmin, Christine, and Luis for assisting with the well being of our mother. Viewing will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, March 8th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 9:00 AM Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1908 N. Court St., Visalla. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Reception will follow burial at Neighborhood Church.
