Paul Joseph Trujillo

Paul Joseph Trujillo, of Tulare, California, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on November 8, 2025. Paul was born in Tulare, California, to Connie and Joe Trujillo, the second oldest of five children. He attended St. Aloysius from kindergarten through eighth grade and attended Tulare Western High School. At just 17 years old, Paul was drafted into the United States Army, where he bravely served in Vietnam for three years. He received an honorable discharge along with recognition his family is deeply proud of. His service was a defining part of his life, shaping the sense of honor, courage, and commitment he carried into everything he did. Upon returning home, Paul met the love of his life, Irene, and the two were married in 1973. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in love, loyalty, and laughter. For 36 years, Paul worked for the City of Visalia as a roll-off driver, known for his reliability, strong work ethic, and easygoing spirit. Paul was a loving father, brother, grandpa, uncle, and friend. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, seen, and loved. He was a jokester at heart-always ready with a quick comeback, a mischievous grin, or a perfectly timed joke. In the past few years, he discovered a passion for performing magic tricks, proudly giving himself the name "Paul the Magnifico". He also cherished the simple joys of life-fishing with his kids, camping trips, barbecues with family and friends, the love of fixing up cars and trucks and cheering loudly for his beloved San Francisco 49ers every Sunday. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Connie and Joe Trujillo, and his brothers, John and Joe Trujillo. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Irene Trujillo; his children Monica (Jose Lafontaine), Billy Trujillo, and Kellie (Doug Asher); and his grandchildren Donovan Trujillo, Devan Moore, Jerimiah Montes, Reese Trujillo, Ashlon Trujillo, Alison Trujillo, Jose Lafontaine Jr., Anthony Lafontaine, Sabrina Lafontaine, Kambria Castro, and Danny Asher. Paul is further survived by his siblings Sal Trujillo (Juanita) and Rita Gomez, as well as his great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews whom he adored wholeheartedly. Paul's legacy of loyalty, kindness, humor, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Rosary will be held 9:30 AM Friday, November 21st, 2025 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 954 S. O ST., Tulare. Mass of Christian Burial services will follow at 10:00 AM.
