Patrick Joseph Gonzales

On June 19th, 2025, at 65 years young, Patrick Joseph left this world to join his sisters, Noelleen and Myra, and his parents Ray and Myra. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Salser and Dillard Funeral Home in Visalia, CA. Service will be at 11:00 am followed with visitation with the family. Patrick was born in Fairfield, CA on May 18th, 1960, the fifth child to Raymond Gonzales and Myra Field Gonzales. Patrick was one of six children - Noelleen Gonzales, Raymond Gonzales (Penny), Myra Gonzales, Michael Gonzales (Kathy), Patrick Gonzales (Pati), and Lisa Gonzales. Pat's parents met in Hawaii on the day after the bombing of the Pearl Harbor, 1942. They joined up the service to serve their country, fell in love, got married and ended up in Fairfield when his dad was stationed at Travis Air Force Base. Their best friends also got married and were stationed in Sacramento. Both families had six children all of the same ages and they were all extremely close. Cousins forever. Patrick and I met in the summer of 1985 at Spanish Flat resort at Lake Berryessa. I was on a summer break from college at Iowa State, and he took a job that his neighbor Jack got him. At the end of this summer, he followed me back to Iowa as I returned to college. Once I graduated, we moved back to California. We were gone every weekend either at the ocean or camping up in the Sequoias. Anything to get us outdoors. Life took us a lot of places. We transferred with my company to Ohio and had our first child, Noah Gonzales. Took another transfer to Wisconsin where we had two more children, Joseph Gonzales and Carissa Gonzales. One last transfer took us back to California where we had our youngest Katherine Gonzales. His children were his life. He was heavily involved in everything they did for as long as he could. Pat was a genius. Literally. He tested off the chart. In 2004 he graduated SJVC with his associates degree as a computer technician, valedictorian of his class. He started working for himself as owner/operator of Redwood Computers. Patrick lives forever in each of his children. They share his love for music, food (particularly some spam musubi), sarcasm, soccer, trivia knowledge, and his love for all animals. He enjoyed tinkering with his transistor radios and took up guitar later on. He loved cooking new dishes for his family. A lot of them passed down from his family. I see the parts of him I fell in love with inside each of them. He was forever proud and amazed by his Grandson Xander, son of Kaylee and Noah. They spent hours talking about Pok�mon, music, video games, and random facts. He claimed to not enjoy large gatherings, but his jovial manner always drew a crowd making him the center of conversation. Our world is losing a good man, but I know he will always be watching over all of his loved ones. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Sunday, July 13th, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia.
