Patricio Cardenas

Patricio Cardenas of Woodlake, California, died at the age of 74, in Exeter California. Patricio was born to Pablo Cardenas and Masadona Moreno Cardenas on March17, 1948 in Donna, Texas. At the age of 8, the Cardenas family left Donna, Texas and moved to Woodlake, California. As they resided in Woodlake, there is where Patricio, his parents and his 10 siblings worked in agriculture, picking fruit and farming. During those early years he learned how to operate a forklift. While attending Woodlake Schools he joined band and played the saxophone. He then graduated in 1966 at Woodlake Union High School in Woodlake, California. Patricio Cardenas worked and retired as a long haul truck driver for 55 years. He worked for Dave Kearns at Lemon Cove Citrus in Lemon Cove, California. He took his skilled truck driving to Tulare County Forestry, bulldozing firebreaks. He was an independent long hall trucker throughout the United States. Patricio mastered shooting pool and won many tournaments, and trophies throughout the states. He enjoyed playing chess, reading, history, politics and reading up on current events. CNN was his favorite thing to watch. He was also a huge Raider fan. Patricio Cardenas was married to Pauline Sanchez Cardenas. He is survived by their 3 children, Patrick Cardenas ll (Lorena) of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Adolph Cardenas of Woodlake, California and Venicia Raquel Cardenas of Exeter, California. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Patrick Adam Cardenas lll, Venicia Raquel Cardenas, Christian Josiah Cardenas, Adoni Abigail Cardenas, Nathaniel Ben Cardenas, Ethan Andrew Cardenas and Emily Loren Cardenas. His siblings Frank Cardenas of Woodlake, California, Basilla Pena of Turlock, California, Max Cardenas (Adeline) of Woodlake California and Agapita Torres of Visalia, California and many loved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM Sunday, April 2nd, 2023 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. The Rosary will be prayed from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Monday, April 3rd, 2023 at St. Frances Cabrini,199 N Pepper St., Woodlake. A Graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM Monday, April 3rd, 2023 at Woodlake Public Cemetery, 165 N Cypress St, Woodlake. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
