Naomi De Leon

Naomi DeLeon was born on February 4, 1944, in Sudan, Texas, to Sisto Aleman and Petra Martinez Aleman. Naomi attended local schools, including Crowley, Green Acres, and Redwood. The oldest of the girls in a large family, Naomi learned at an early age the meaning of love, responsibility, sacrifice, and caring for others. Much of her younger years were devoted to helping care for her siblings. At just 23 years old, she stepped up to help her father raise them. Naomi waited patiently for the love of her life, Joe. He was tall, dark and handsome, a cowboy in every sense of the word. He swept her off her feet, and on March 19, 1976, she married Joe DeLeon; and together they established their home in Farmersville. Throughout her life, Naomi was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, stepmother, auntie to many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, and a deeply cherished presence within her family. Naomi was a woman who reverenced God and committed herself to living a faith-filled life of service. She was a giver who never expected anything in return. If there was an opportunity to care for someone, Naomi found a way to do it. Every summer, she opened the doors of her home for family barbecues and swimming. She sat with the children and read to them, held them, cared for them, and made sure they knew they were loved. Her presence had a way of making every space feel like home. She also brought joy and laughter wherever she went. Naomi had a wonderful sense of humor, and those who loved her will remember not only her wisdom and strength, but the laughter and lighthearted moments they shared with her. Naomi was the matriarch of the family, not simply because she was the oldest sister, but because of the place she held in the lives of those around her. When prayer was needed, Naomi prayed. When wisdom was needed, Naomi offered it. When someone needed a place to belong, her home and her heart were open. In these ways and so many others, her life bore the fruit of the Spirit. One of Naomi's favorite Scriptures, and words she longed to one day hear from her Lord, came from Matthew 25:21: "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" There could hardly be more fitting words for the life Naomi lived. She served faithfully, loved generously, and spent a lifetime caring for the people God placed before her. And as her family now entrusts her into the hands of the God she loved and served, we are most certain these are the words she longed for and finally heard: "Well done, good and faithful servant." Naomi will be greatly missed, forever loved, and carried in the hearts of all whose lives were blessed by hers. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
