Mey Fong Saechao

Mey Fong Saeteun was born on August 26, 1955, in Houa Khong, Laos to the parents of Kouie Fong Saeteun and Koy Choy Saeteun. She was the only sister to three brothers: Meng Orn, Meng Kuan, and Meng Finh Saeteun. She married Long Fo Saechao, taking his last name, Mey Fong Saechao. They adopted their son Chio Fo (John) Saechao and their daughter Muang Fo (Tina) Saechao. During the Vietnam War, in 1975, her and her family migrated to Thailand, where they stayed at a refugee camp until immigrating to the United States in 1979. She and her family lived in Long Beach, California for many years until relocating to Farmersville/Visalia, California in 1986 where she lived for the remainder of her life. Unfortunately, in 1997 her husband passed away leaving her as a widow. Mey Fong Saechao is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her interests and hobbies included going out to restaurants and buffets with family, gardening, sewing, and reading the bible. She was a strong woman of faith. She was an active member of the Iu Mienh Church. Due to prolonged health conditions and dialysis, she could not attend services. So, she dedicated her mornings and evenings studying the bible, along with countless prayers. Our dearest was carried gently into Jesus' arms, her last and heavenly home. She is reunited with her husband. She will forever be cherished and remembered by her brothers, her children, son-in-law Lai, twelve grandchildren: Kevin, Karen, Belinda, Chris, Amilee, Tammie, Nathan, Melissa, Teddy, Randy, Jessica, Jennifer and nineteen great-grandchildren. Mey will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, caring for her, and the love she shared will continue to live forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Thursday, May 9th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Funeral services will be held 9:00 AM Friday, May 10th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 10th, 2024 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
