Marvin Neal Demmers

Marvin Neal Demmers Sr. entered this world on April 17, 1929 and on June 22, 2018 at the age of 89 years old he stepped quietly into the arms of Jesus, his Lord and savior. Marvin was a man of many talents, husband to Mary, father to Marvin Jr, Michael, and Daniel, grandfather to Michael Jonathan, Jessica Rae, Austin David, Alexa Caitlin, and Cole Daniel and great grandfather to Noah James. A man devoted to his faith and the teaching of the good news of Jesus Christ, Marvin loved among many things art, sculpture, gardening and wood working. Our fondest memories of him are those of the many hours he spent in his garage molding, shaping, and crafting fine furniture, cabinets, and specialty items from his collection of oak, alder, and various other woods. More than anything, Marvin loved teaching the truths of God's word. He was a dedicated teacher of the gospel at his local church and spent countless hours preparing and rehearsing his lessons in his personal study. He was never far from the opportunity to share the love of Jesus to anyone that would lend an ear. In his life he was a soldier, a healer, a carpenter, a teacher and a man that truly loved others. In all respects his life reflected that of his savior Jesus Christ. Although we who remain shall miss him, we rejoice in knowing that one day we shall all be together in the presence of Jesus, worshipping, fellowshipping, laughing and loving, and praising our Lord. Marvin is preceded in death by his wife Mary. He is survived by His three sons, Marvin Neal Jr, his wife Carol and his granddaughter Jessica and his great grandson Noah, Michael Lee, his wife Kathy and his grandson Michael, and Daniel Garey, his wife Lea and his grandson Austin, his granddaughter Alexa and his grandson Cole. A loving church family, a few disciples, a host of family and friends and the dedicated staff at Taco bell where they religiously prepared Dad's favorite fast food without complaint; A chicken quesadilla with EASY EASY sauce and a bean burrito with no red sauce, extra onions and open on one end. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on June 30, 2018 at Sierra Baptist Church in Visalia.
