Margaret Jewel Stadden

Margaret Jewel Stadden of Tipton passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022 surrounded by her children Julie Bowen of Los Alamitos, Karen Hill of Tulare and Richard (Becky) Stadden, of Tipton. She was born on January 12, 1918 and lived 104 years, having a long wonderful life. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Roland and Pearl Adney. Margaret married her high school sweetheart from Corcoran High School, Raymond Stadden in 1940 and made their home in Tulare. They lived in Tulare County all their married life and farmed in Saucelito and Tipton for 82 years, where they made their home and Margaret served as President and CEO for Stadden Farms. Margaret was a life-long member of the Pixley United Brethren Church and had been raised in the Corcoran Methodist Church. In Pixley, she was a Sunday School teacher and lead release-time bible school in Tipton at the Methodist Church. She was active in PTA and Tulare County Cotton Women. She was a licensed cosmetologist and owned her own shop before she was married, and maintained her license for many years. She was an amazing farm-wife, homemaker, seamstress, cook and baker. She won many awards at the Tulare County Fair over the years. Margaret was blessed with five Grandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Scott (Shy) Bowen, Nathan Hill, Jason (Kelly) Bowen, and Courtney (Chad) Edwards, Six Great-Grandchildren, Morghen Bowen, Matthew Bowen, Mitchell (Hannah) Hill, Madisen Bowen, Taylor Rae Bowen, Grant Hill, Roddy Bowen, Calvin Edwards, Chace Edwards, and one Great-Great-Grandchild, Addilyn Hill. She leaves a large family of nieces and nephews and friends far and wide. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Stadden, parents Roland and Pearl Adney, sister Wilma Burruss and brothers Welton Adney, Jay Adney and Arthur "Curly" Adney, Robert "Bob" Bowen Son-in-Law, and Nathan Hill Grandson. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and care given to their mother by the entire Quail Park Staff. A Visitation will be held 9:00am on Friday, September 30th, 2022 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. A Prayer Service will begin at 9:30am. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, September 30th, 2022 at Tipton & Pixley Cemetery District, 10395 Avenue 144, Tipton. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
