Manuel Romero Medina

Manuel Romero Medina, age 70 who lived in Visalia and was raised in Seville passed away on November 4th 2020 in Clovis with his daughter Cecilia and granddaughter Ariel by his side. Manuel was born to Faustin and Lucy on February 28th 1950 in Dinuba. He was the first-born twin then 7 minutes later Leo was born. He was from a family that had a total of 14 children. He loved all his brothers and sisters with all his heart. Manuel is survived by his life companion Rose Mary Castillo of 45 plus years, three children and three grandchildren. Christana his first-born daughter, her husband Robert Ruiz, and only grandson Adam Medina. Cecilia his second daughter, her husband Lorenzo Ruiz, and his granddaughters Ariel and Adrianna Ruiz. Manuel C Medina II, third child and his only son that will carry on his name. Graduated from Woodlake High School in June of 1969. He was attending classes at COS in Visalia then received the notice he was being drafted to the Vietnam War in November 1969. He took the oath and fought for our country. He was a Radio Operator for The United States Army. In 1997, he suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed but prior to that he was the jack of all trades. He could fix anything mechanically, worked in construction, painted cars, worked at nursery's and always willing to help anyone in need. The stroke did not hold him back, he was strong, and lived independently for the past 23 years. We have heard stories of what an amazing dancer he was and we all know that he loved an ice-cold beer. Math was his strength, as he enjoyed playing games such as sudoku, and chess. Manuel was also great at crafts and made beautiful dreamcatchers. He always kept up to date with technology from browsing the web on an iPad to using his iPhone to take pictures and send an occasional text. Spending time with his family was his favorite thing to do. Several family members would visit, whether it was to help around the yard or just relax and binge watch Netflix. These are good memories for all of us to cherish. Not all stories can be written here but they are all wonderful. There are tons of funny memories that we will forever have in our hearts. Manuel will be deeply missed by all that love him. Fly high with the angels.
