Leopoldo Espinoza, Jr

Leopoldo Espinoza Jr. entered the next life on January 12, 2024, while traveling home to Reno, Nevada. He was born March 22, 1965, in Dinuba, CA, to Leopoldo (Sr.) and Guadalupe Espinoza. Leo lived a fast, free, and patriotic life. He enlisted in the military and served as a paratrooper in the United States Army under the 3rd Armor Division. He was stationed in Germany from 1983 to 1987. Shortly after his return to the states, he met Maria Manuela Dinis. They wed on November 7, 1987, and had a child, a son, Joshua Miguel Espinoza, born on November 1, 1992. Leo raised Joshua, alongside Manuela, in Visalia, CA. In his later years, he moved to Reno, Nevada, with his second wife, Dena Davis. They wed on October 10, 2020. Leo was distinguished and highly respected in the Power Transformer Industry as a Field Service Technician for over 36 years. Through his hard work, dedication, and selflessness, he influenced the lives of many people. Leo, a self-taught individual, consistently invested in his career and took great pride in his work. Always willing to mentor others. He became a source of inspiration for his son, encouraging him to follow in his footsteps and succeed in his own electrical engineering career. Leo embraced adventure in his travels, leading to a life filled with rich experiences. His love for off-roading, camping, barbecuing, and watching sports showcased his zest for life. An avid follower of the latest Star Wars and Marvel movies, Leo eagerly shared these cinematic moments with his family. Beyond the screen, Leo also had a passion for attending live sporting events, feverously cheering for his Raiders or the Oakland A's. Moreover, he found immense joy in live concerts, with favorite bands including Styx, Scorpions, Loverboy, 3 Doors Down, REO Speedwagon, Offspring, and Bob Seger, among others. In every adventure and passion, Leo's vibrant spirit and enthusiasm shone through, creating lasting memories for himself and those around him. Leo will forever be remembered for his boisterous, unique laugh and thoughtful nature. He was always willing to go above and beyond for his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local SPCA or the American Diabetes Association. Viewing will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday, January 25th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 26th, 2024 at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, 356 N. Villa Ave., Dinuba. Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM Friday, January 26th, 2024 at Smith Mountain Cemetery, Road 100, Dinuba. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
