Adeline McDaniel

Laura "Adeline" Marie McDaniel Adeline was born in Chandler OK to Richard and Dicie Lee on 12/22/1930 Her spirit left this earth on 2/20/2025. Adeline was a mom, grandma and a Great Grandma. She married Robert McDaniel 12/2/1949 traveling the world with her husband during his military career. They settled in Visalia upon his retirement where they finished raising their six kids and one nephew. There was always room for one more in her household never knowing who spent the night until breakfast. She made the best tacos, white people tacos according to Michael. When she made them the whole neighborhood would show up. As kids we would hide them in the refrigerator so we could have some the next day. Bowling was her favorite sport, mom was a 500 member for more than10 years. Playing cards with her sisters was also one of her activities. My mom loved the outdoors, camping was one of her favorites. She was very active in her children's and grandchildren's lives never missing a football, basketball, baseball swimming, wrestling or water polo game. She was a Girl Scout leader for troop164 helping Mrs T for many years even after her daughters stopped participating made her happy. She was a cub/ Boy Scout leader for her sons. She earned a life membership in the PTA at Washington School. Adeline also taught CCD at St Mary's George McCann for over 15 years. Adeline is preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents. Sisters Zora Rickard, Charlotte Kerr, her two brothers Richard and Daniel Lee. She is survived by her sister Cathy Cash, and her children: Becky and Ed Vincent, Robert and Vivian McDaniel, Roberta Crawford, Rachel Mendonca, Richard McDaniel, Pat and Sheila McDaniel. Nephew Michael McDaniel whom she raised. Her grand and great-grandchildren many nieces and nephews from whom she will be greatly missed. Viewing will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday, March 13th, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow at 6:00 PM. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, March 14th, 2025 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
