It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jose Manuel Diaz Madrid, a beloved husband, father, son, father-in-law, brother, cousin and friend. Born on a cold winter's day in Chamberino, New Mexico, Jose's life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and lasting connections. He peacefully departed this world on August 2nd, 2023, at the age of 94, surrounded by his loved ones. Jose's journey through life was marked by devotion and unwavering love. For 60 years, he stood as a pillar of support and affection for his cherished wife, Julia Perez Madrid. Their enduring partnership was a shining example of commitment, devotion and loving companionship. The son of Felipe Madrid the II and Estefania Diaz Madrid, Jose was the last surviving sibling among Juan, Josefina, Alfredo, Aurora, Felipe the III, and Emilio. Jose's influence extended deeply into the lives of his children: Manuel, Theresa, Anita, Abel, and Mario. His wisdom and love guided them, leaving behind lessons of kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith. While his son Ruben Madrid has already passed, their eventual reunion brings comfort and peace. Alongside his children, Jose was blessed with daughters-in-law Connie, Emily, and Mary, Elizabeth as well as sons-in-law Jessie and Paul. Their presence in his life enriched his experiences and added to the tapestry of his loving family. Jose's legacy remains vibrant through his seven cherished grandchildren and fourteen beloved great-grandchildren. His impact will be felt for generations as his family carries forward the values and love he bestowed upon them. Jose's commitment to service extended beyond his family. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War, demonstrating his courage and dedication. After his military service, he continued to serve his community as a carpenter, embodying his hardworking spirit and dedication to providing for those he held dear. As we gather to honor and celebrate the life of Jose Manuel Diaz Madrid, let us find comfort in the knowledge that he has joined the eternal embrace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through cherished memories and the legacy of love he left behind, Jose will forever remain in our hearts. His warm smiles, kind gestures, and unyielding love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Funeral services will be held 9:00 AM Monday, August 21st, 2023 at Sunrise Community Church, 100 E Inyo Ave, Tulare. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, August 21st, 2023 at North Tulare Public Cemetery, 4572 North J. St., Tulare. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
