Jackie Gene McPhetridge

Jack "Bucky" McPhetridge, 81, went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2026. He was born on November 5, 1944, to Pete and Joyce McPhetridge. Bucky was a devoted husband, dad, Papa, brother, and friend. He shared 62 years of marriage with his wife, Vickie, and together they built a life centered around faith, family, and community. He is survived by his wife Vickie; his two children, Marchelle Mendonsa and husband Frank, and Craig McPhetridge and wife Ticia; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Ray and Randy McPhetridge. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kay. Bucky loved the outdoors and spent many years fishing, camping, and hunting. One of the things he looked forward to most every year was the annual hunting trips with family - a tradition that had been going on for decades. Those trips were more than hunting to him. They were about spending time together, sharing stories, laughing around camp, and enjoying fellowship with the people he loved most. He also loved spending time at the pawn shop, sitting and visiting with friends and family who would stop by to chat. His grandkids loved coming in to grab candy and look through all of "Papa's treasures." Bucky especially enjoyed finding special jewelry and little gifts to give away to people he cared about, always thinking of who might appreciate something he had. He believed in helping others and staying involved in his community. Over the years, he served on different boards and was always willing to step in where he was needed. He had a soft spot for kids and quietly helped many people along the way. While he could be tough and hot-headed at times, especially in his younger years, anyone who knew Bucky knew he had a big heart and would do anything for someone in need. More than anything, Bucky loved the Lord and loved his family. His faith guided the way he lived his life, and his family finds comfort knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Pixley Church of the Nazarene, followed by a graveside service at the Tipton-Pixley Cemetery, and a lunch reception at The Social Hall at the Agri-Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Valley Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Thursday, May 21st, 2026 at Pixley Church of the Nazarene, 1138 E Court Ave, Pixley. Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Thursday, May 21st, 2026 at Tipton & Pixley Cemetery District, 10395 Avenue 144, Tipton.
