Harold William Hoefling

Harold W. Hoefling was born on July 8, 1932 in Sioux City, Iowa to Harold A. Hoefling and Lauretta Tooker Hoefling. He left this world peacefully, on Feb. 11, 2022 in Visalia, Ca.. After high school, Harold enlisted in the Air Force. While stationed in Tennessee, he met his first love, a true Southern belle, named Bette Jo Leverette. They became the parents of 4 children. They were married for 53 yrs, until Bette's passing in 2006. They left Tennessee for Calif. where Harold would attend chiropractic college. Over the years he had offices in Chula Vista, Mt. Shasta, Woodlake and Visalia. Upon retirement he used his green thumb to garden, golfed, biked, traveled, danced and played poker. He was also a regular attendee of Lifestyles gym. As an 80 yr old he was known to bike from Visalia to Farmersville and back. Harold was the best grandfather. We regret that he wasn't't able to meet his twin great-grandsons, who were born March 3, 2022. He was proud of teaching most of his grandchildren to drive in that old pickup of his. He's also been known to set up the tent in the back yard or build a small tree house, just for the day. All of his grandchildren meant the world to him! In 2008, at a dance, at Visalia Senior Center, Harold met his second love, Christine Burnett. They enjoyed over 13 years together, dancing, traveling and watching grand kids sporting events. Harold is survived by Christine, his children, Jodi Eddings (Robert), Curt (Victoria) and Jeff. Also, Christine's children, Eric, Kari Landers (Chase) and Justin (Gina Flores) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving him are brothers, Ron (Judy), Jerry (Lucy), Donnie and brother-in-law, Butch Leverette, along with many nieces and nephews. Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Bette Jo, daughter, DeLynne Balzer, parents, Harold and Lauretta, along with sisters, Eileen Golden, Jacki Pearson and brother, Darold. Harold is loved and missed by all! Harold William Hoefling, 89 of Visalia, California, died on Friday, February 11, 2022, in Visalia, California. Harold was born to Harold Anthony Hoefling and Lauretta Tooker on July 8, 1932 in Sioux City, Iowa. Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at Dunlap Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
