Gregorio Barragan Gudino

Gregorio Gudino was born on November 25, 1953 in Jalisco, Mexico. He was the youngest of his siblings. On December 20, 1975, at a dance hall in Salinas, CA, Gollo and Julia first laid eyes on each other... and so began their love story. Gollo's unwavering love for Julia was extended to her 2 sons, Jose and Tony. He loved them greatly and raised them as his own. Their family continued to grow as they added 2 more sons, Gregorio and Ishmael. Gollo and Julia raised their family in Gonzales, CA for 21 years before relocating to Farmersville in 2005. Throughout his life Gollo was a hardworking man. His love and dedication to his wife, sons, grandchildren, family and loved ones will forever be remembered and valued. Besides his fierce love and dedication to his family, Gollo was known for his beautiful singing. Music was his second passion (Julia was always his first). No matter where he was, a wedding, birthday party, backyard barbeque, family dinner, or a funeral, Gollo loved sharing his gift with those around him. November 2018 marked the beginning of Gregorio "Gollo" Gudino's hard-fought battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Julia and Gollo faced this battle as they had faced everything during their marriage; hand-in-hand, side-by-side, together. On January 18, 2020, holding his wife's hand and surrounded by his children and grandchildren Gollo took his final breaths and was embraced in the arms of our Heavenly Father. The Gudino family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude for the outpouring of love and prayers. We would also like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at City of Hope in Duarte, CA and Fresno Community Regional Medical Center for the care and support they gave Gollo and his family during his fight against Leukemia and in his final days.
