Felix Lopez Torres

Felix Lopez Torres, 80 of Woodlake passed away on Saturday December 5th, 2020. He was born on June 11, 1940 in Redlands California to the late Eduardo Torres and Roberta (Lopez) Torres. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Torres. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen (Munoz) Torres, son Andrew (Bobby Macias) Torres of Visalia, son Frankie Torres of Woodlake, daughter Sonja (Jose) Renteria of Fresno, daughter Felicia (Robert) Vaughn of Visalia; 6 grandchildren: Prisela (Alex) Santillan of Fresno, Ricky Renteria of Fresno, Marco Renteria of Fresno, Regina Ramirez of Fresno, Diego Ramirez of Three Rivers, Josie Ramirez of Visalia, and 3 great grandchildren: Emiliano, Natalya and Elyana Santillan of Fresno, 2 canine grandchildren: Lola and Domingo; 4 siblings: Linda Zumaya of Woodlake, Tony (Anita) Torres of Woodlake, George (Isabel) of Visalia, Gloria (Manuel) Huerta of Ivanhoe and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Felix was a loving father, husband and grandfather and he will be missed by all. The family would like to thank Optimal Hospice care, Horizon Medical Supply, all Pro Homecare and the VA Clinic/Hospital of Tulare and Fresno for their loving care and support. After moving to Woodlake in 1957, Felix met and started dating Helen Munoz. He was soon drafted into the United States Army and served proudly from 1963 - 1969. Felix worked as a Farm Labor Contractor for 17 years, seasonal truck driver, former Business owner of Felix Chevron Gas Station in Woodlake and retired from Woodlake Unified School District where he worked as a school bus driver for 10 years. Felix had many hobbies and enjoyed long Sunday cruises with Helen, camping, coin hunting, working on classic cars, and tinkering in his garage. He was also an active member of the Vintage Classic Car Club and the Woodlake Veterans Club. He was a well known person in the Woodlake Community. A Scholarship with the Woodlake High Foundation has been created in his name (P.O. Box 475, Woodlake, Ca 93286).
