Eric Maxwell

In Loving Memory of Eric Maxwell December 28, 1965 - May 18, 2025 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric P. Maxwell - a devoted husband, cherished father, and loving grandfather. Eric was also deeply committed to serving and supporting the Central Valley community. He passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 59. Born in Chula Vista, California, on December 28, 1965, Eric was the only child of Robert Maxwell and Sharon Maxwell, and stepson to Dana Maxwell. He attended Coronado High School and went on to earn his Associate's Degree from Southwestern College. He later received his Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and English from San Diego State University. Eric shared 25 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Christina Maxwell. He was a proud and devoted father to his two sons, Andrew and Adam, and a grandfather to his 18-month-old granddaughter, Samari. He will also be dearly missed by his boss dog, Ramsey. Professionally, Eric dedicated 26 years as the lead salesman at Kingsburg Orchards, where he was respected and admired by colleagues and clients alike. He also held a real estate license, which he pursued as a hobby. Eric had a deep love for coaching his sons in the many sports they played and took great joy in being part of a co-ed baseball league. He had a true passion for hosting holiday gatherings and family game nights, always creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Eric had a special gift for bringing people together with his wit, charisma, and warmth. Whether leading sing-alongs with his guitar or dancing alongside his beautiful wife, his presence lit up every room. Eric is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Sharon Maxwell, and his uncle, Tom Pfeifer. He is survived by his wife, Christina Maxwell; sons, Andrew and Adam; daughter-in-law, Lindsay; granddaughter, Samari; mother-in-law Angela Flores and father-in-law John Flores, his sisters-in-law, Victoria "Tori" Fonseca and Juanita Cantu. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Ricardo Estrada and Sean Fonseca; and his beloved nieces and nephews: Nathaniel, Maci, Trenady, Justine, Angel (Ariyah), Savannah (Evie, Olivia), Ayden, Ricardo, and Izak - all of whom loved him dearly. A celebration of Eric's life will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia, CA 93277. Doors will open at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow in the Salser & Dillard Life Event Center. Eric's presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
