Eleanor Carol Berbereia

Eleanor Carol Berbereia entered into her eternal rest on October 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. Eleanor was born December 24, 1938, in Fresno to Jesse and Velma Silva. She graduated from Washington Union High School in Fresno where she loved being involved with all the campus clubs. She met and married the love of her life, Edwin Berbereia June13, 1959, and they established their lifelong home in Visalia, California. Eleanor worked for Mt Whitney High School for 36 years. She taught Catechism for 15 years at St. Mary's Catholic Church. After her retirement, Eleanor continued working at all sports events and was honored to become a 'Pink Lady' for Kaweah Delta Hospital as a volunteer and sewed for the Pillow Pals. She played Bunko every month with her friends and went to lunch often with those she worked with. Her greatest joy in life was attending her grandchildren's sporting and dance events, as well as taking care of any or all her grandchildren at any time. Ed and Eleanor loved traveling throughout the years, enjoyed their weekend dates at Starbucks and spent much time resting and relaxing at their beach house in Morro Bay. Her grandkids were spoiled by their Va and always loved a day of shopping with her or getting a package all decked out with snacks and prizes. She was larger than life and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Silva Jr., grandson, Tanner, and her son, Rick. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Edwin, her daughter Vickie Pinheiro (Mike), daughter-in-law, Debbie Berbereia; 2 sisters: Irene Borba and Betty Berbereia; 10 of her grandchildren: Michaela Klepp (Jonathan), Brian Pinheiro (Janae), Katie Boucher (Marlin), Brittany Pinheiro, Tyler Berbereia (Amber) and Teagan Berbereia; 6 great-grandchildren: Amelia Klepp, Poppy Boucher, Weston Pinheiro, Nova Pinheiro, Oliver Boucher and Baby Girl Berbereia arriving soon. Visitation will be held 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will be held 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 608 N. Church Street, Visalia.
