Dorothea Beatrice Rogers

Dorothea Beatrice Rogers, age 87, passed peacefully from this life on March 14, 2026 in Visalia, CA. She was born October 24, 1938 to Dewane and DeEtta Fuller in Orosi, Ca. Dorothea lived in Cutler, Ca up until the time she moved to Visalia, and then attended Elbow Creek School where she met her lifelong friend, Alva Gunn. She spent her high school years at Mt. Whitney and then continued on to Dental Assistant School with her pal Alva in San Francisco. She worked as a phone operator for a short while, but after marrying her husband Richard, she embarked on her true calling, as a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She and Richard would spend the next 61 years together on their farm in Tulare. While supporting Richard's farming career and raising 3 children, she also was active in the Buena Vista "Mother's Club" and 4H, Young Farmers and Ranchers, California Women in Ag, Tulare Garden Club and volunteered with the World Ag Expo in the ERC office. Dorothea was also one of the founding members of Happy Cookers Catering. Dorothea had a fondness for all things colorful and it was evident in her in her yard's beautiful flowers, paintings, and in the many quilts she made for her home and family. She also greatly enjoyed being able to travel to many colorful locations whenever she had the opportunity. Dorothea is survived by her 3 children - Susan Paggi and husband Mathew, Scott Rogers and wife Anna, Matthew Rogers and wife Rachel, 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that treated her like a princess. She is also survived by her youngest brother, Dick Mueller and wife Debbie. She was proceeded in death by her husband Richard, her parents, and brothers, Wally Fuller, Erwin Fuller, and George Mueller. We would like to express our sincerest appreciation to the staff of Quail Park at Shannon Ranch Memory Care for their impeccable care over the last 4 years. Also many thanks to the medical team at Kaweah Health Hospice, especially Nurse Daniella, whose end of life care for Dorothea was exemplary.
