Doris Eidson

Our beloved Mother, Nana, Aunt & Sister went to be with our Savior Jesus and the love of her life Dad (Ronnie) forever on March 3, 2018. She has waited for this day for 22 years since the passing of her husband our Dad. Doris Jean (James) Eidson was born on August 29, 1940 in Exeter, CA; to Ervin & Mildred James. Doris was educated in Exeter and graduated from Exeter High School Class of 1958. Doris grew up next door to the love of her life Ronald Duane Eidson and later marrying him on June 23, 1958 in Carson City, Nevada with her Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Al witnessing that marriage. Doris then took on the role of a busy mom of 6 children, working part-time in packing houses and being a room mom in her children's classes when she could. Later in life, Doris went back to school at San Joaquin Valley College to learn the trade of medical billing. Upon her graduation she went to work for Sweet's Medical Supply in Tulare, California for many years; working in their durable medical equipment department doing medical billing. After the passing of her husband, Doris took up volunteer work and volunteered for Hospice of Tulare County for many years helping out with their annual "Light up a Life" event. She found much joy in this work and being a part of Tulare County Hospice, which is now known as Kaweah Delta Hospice. Doris was also a proud member of the LDS Church where she had many fabulous friends. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin & Mildred James, her husband Ronald Duane Eidson, her sister Susan Daniels and Son-in Law, Kerry Kelton. Doris is survived by her 6 children; Randy (Gina) Eidson, Bakersfield, CA; Jeff (Denise) Eidson, Tulare, CA; Pamela (Timothy) Gruber, Visalia, CA; Patricia Kelton, Tulare, CA; Craig Eidson, Tulare, CA; & Catherine (Phillip) Grijalva, Armona, CA; her grandchildren Jennifer Eidson, Hanford, CA; Jessica Eidson, Tulare CA; Bailey Gruber, Visalia, CA; Taylor Kelton, Tulare, CA; Jeffery Blevins, Tulare, CA; Phillip Grijalva, Hanford, CA; Gabriel Grijalva, Reedley, CA & Monica Alves, Fresno, CA and 10 great grandchildren, with one on the way. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Larry James, of Palm Springs, CA and a special niece Tonya Daniels, of Lindsay, CA. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Kaweah Manor for the love and care they provided to our mother. We would also like to thank Dr. Ron Marconi & Sandra Shadley, MFT; Kaweah Delta's Palliative Care Team for their excellent care and compassion during the final phase of our mother's life.
