Domingos "Dink" Correa

Domingos “Dink” Alvares Correa, Jr. was born October 15, 1932 to Domingos and Maria Correa, Sr. in Tulare, California. He passed away at home, July 15, 2016 surrounded by his family in Visalia. Domingos “Dink” was raised on a dairy farm in Visalia and graduated from Visalia Union High School. He served 2 years in the U.S Army, achieving the title of Sergeant, and was very proud of his service to his country. After his service he went back to the dairy business. He married Barbara King and raised three children; Clarice, Tina and Kevin Correa. He then married Kay Correa and added three more children; Shari, Allan and Melinda to his family. He was an active and passionate member of the Goshen Mounted Police and was their President approximately 12 times. He spent approximately 47 years in the dairy business, and in 1988 became a Cooling System Specialist and along with his wife started their own business called Kool Kores for 24 years. For the past 7 years he and Kay have enjoyed running Doggie Days Inn together. Domingos “Dink” was hardworking, honest, “a bit ornery”, but had a big heart. He was one of a kind and will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents Domingos and Maria Correa, Sr., brothers Manuel Norman (Pat) Correa, Lionel Correa, Irene Correa Matta, stepson Allan Dennis, grandson Wyatt Dilbeck, and step grandson Andrew Dennis. He is survived by Kay Correa, his wife of 36 years; son Kevin Correa and fiancée Ashley Cole and her son Gavin Channelle; daughter Tina Moody and her children Megan Moody and fiancée Dean Viladykis, Craig Moody and fiancée Jessica and their son John; daughter Clarise Dilbeck (Howard) and their children Chris Dilbeck (Elizabeth) and their daughter Alice, Cherice Dilbeck Galbraith (Ben). He is also survived by his step daughter Shari (Greg) Hutchins and their children Josh Hutchins, Matt Hutchins and fiancée Megan and their sons Aiden, Logan, and Asher; Brooke Jefferson (Toby) and their children Jonathan, Braelyn, Lincoln, Haven and Kyla; step daughter Melinda (Larry) Lopez and their children Jennifer, John and Will; also sons of deceased stepson Allan Dennis are grandchildren Clint, Steve, and Wayne Dennis and his son Bentley and daughter Phoenix; Dink’s sister Ruby Correa Goodman, sister-in-law Patti (Allen) Arnold, brother-in-law Richard Matta; plus many special nephews and nieces and friends. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Visalia District Cemetery. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation in his name to Valley Children’s Hospital.
