Consuelo Saenz Castillo

Born December 5, 1948, Connie Saenz Castillo ("Nana"), our so deeply loved matriarch, lost her battle fighting the Covid19 virus on October 6, 2021. Nana was our family's rock, holding everyone together through the good times and the bad. She always knew what needed to be said. Her voice carried so much love when we needed soothing and it could be pretty stern as well. So much that she'd kinda scare us when we needed scolding. Everyone who knew her just adored her and her ways. And yes, let's mention Nana's delicious home cooking talent! She put a lot of love into her meals she made for so people over the years, anytime she had the opportunity to do it � never once complaining about the amount of time and work she put in to them. She also really enjoyed sewing and made so many really cool and now very cherished things for her family throughout the years Although as time went on and she grew tired, she always, always held her head up high taking in everything life handed her � every set-back, every heartache, so many lost loved-ones, every body ache and of course every family gathering filled with good times and memories with those she loved. Nana was our example of how to be a warrior in life. We are so thankful for God's blessing of giving her to us for all the years we had her. You will always be with us in our hearts and memories, Nana. We love you, forever and ever. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben B. Castillo, daughter Deborah Saenz Castillo and her son, Ruben Castillo Jr. followed her four days after she lost her battle also from Covid19. She is survived by her SISTERS/BROTHER LIST, daughter Linda Lopez, Grandchildren Irene Aguila, Janel Guzman, Eileen Castillo, Connie Lopez, Evonne Lopez, Renee Lopez, Ruben Castillo and Adam Castillo and Great Grandchildren Matthew Aguila, Nathan Aguila, Genesis Guzman, Julian Garcia and Xavier Castillo. Memorial Mass services will be held 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM Friday, October 15th, 2021 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 954 S. O ST., Tulare. Inurnment will be held 11:45 AM - 12:15 PM Friday, October 15th, 2021 at North Tulare Public Cemetery, 4572 North J. St., Tulare. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
