Connie Marie Starling

Connie Marie Starling (Price), at 81, passed away from acute myeloid leukemia on August 13, 2025 at her home in Visalia, CA. Connie had been an active participant in life whether it was with church, choir, taking the family classic GTO to car shows, going to the Lone Pine Film Festivals every October, anything Elvis Presley, himself, or imitators. She opened her home to anyone who wanted to come over for a visit and would try to fill your tummy, always asking if you wanted something to eat or have coffee. Visits to the central coast were a favorite destination. She was born September 9, 1943, in Visalia, CA the 5th child of Samuel and Margie Price. Connie was a native of Visalia, CA, with a 5 year detour to Tulare, CA where their family increased by the addition of their son Jason. Her education started with East Lynn, Mineral King, Mt Whitney High School and College of the Sequoias (COS). Most of her career was with Tulare County Social Services, as a Social Worker, she also worked for Don Celillo Electric (DCE) and Bank of American (BofA). Preceding her in death were her parents, Samuel (Sam) and Margie Price, siblings June L. Arnold (Kenneth), Sue M. Roberts (Reed), brother Samuel Clinton (Clint) Price (Sylvia), brothers in law Doyle F. Robinson, William L. Evans, Jr (Bill), nephew Leslie R. Roberts, nieces Pamela S. Anderson, Kelly Roberts and Eileen Arnold, nephews in law Randy L. Starling and Danny Arnold. Surviving her is husband of 62 + years, Bobby (Bob) M. Starling and son Jason R. Starling both of Visalia, CA. Surviving siblings are Nancy J. Robinson of Brookings, OR and Margie P. Evans of Visalia, CA. Sisters in law Thelma Starling of Visalia and Geri Arnold (Starling) of Bakersfield. Numerous nieces, nephews and greats and great greats. Over the past 3 years Connie experienced numerous surgeries and seemed to be recovering well after each procedure. She was very open and almost proud to tell anyone that she had a pig valve in her heart. Her 5 weeks in rehab included playing dominos with family to while away the day. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia.
