Obituary for Christopher B. Hughes Christopher Brady Hughes was born on October 29, 1964 in Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away on February 23, 2020 in Visalia, California at the age of 55. Christopher Hughes (Chrissy) was born to Gregory Brady Hughes and Judye Lynne Hughes on October 29, 1964. Chrissy was born with a developmentally delayed condition that prevented him from attending public schools, but he did attend various day programs specifically designed for developmentally delayed children and adults throughout his lifetime. Chrissy remained in the care of his parents until they passed away in 1987 and 1992. At that time, Chrissy moved into the Chesney Care Home in Stockton, California where he lived for over twenty years of his adult life. Then his younger brother, Darrin Hughes moved Chrissy down to the Bethesda Care Home in Visalia to be closer to him and other family members. Chrissy has always had a love for hats that he carried, but rarely wore and another major love was for all of his books. His father Gregory Brady Hughes, mother Judye Lynne Hughes, and brother Kevin Gregory Hughes preceded Chrissy in death. Chrissy is survived by his younger brother Darrin Hughes, his sister-in-law Kim Hughes and his uncles and aunts Chris Hughes, Joe Hughes, Keiran Hughes, Becky Hughes and Sara Hughes. The family of Chrissy would like to thank all of the staff from the Bethesda Lutheran Communities and all of his loving caretakers, the staff from the Central Valley Regional Center and the Valley Mountain Regional Center that were a part of Chris life, and the staff from the Kaweah Delta Hospice group for their compassionate care during their time with Chris. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel located at 127 E. Caldwell Avenue in Visalia, CA. 93277. Interment will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the Stockton Rural Cemetery located at 2350 Cemetery Lane, Stockton, CA 95201.
