Charlotte Rose Berg

Charlotte Rose Berg will always be remembered for the love she bestowed on her family and friends. She went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 7, 2024 at the age of 95. She passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was born in Fresno, California on July 22, 1929. Charlotte was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother (Nana) and friend to many. She volunteered as a children's speech and hearing therapist for approximately 8 years. Charlotte had a unique ability to help special needs children reach their full potential. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, playing Bridge (where she was extremely competitive), and reading. Charlotte spent much of her later years as caretaker for her mom, dad, aunt, and husband. She had a big heart and gift for taking care of her family and friends when they needed it most. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Elisa Ricotta and LeRoy A. Berg, her husband of 65 years. LeRoy was the love of her life. He spent most of his career working in education. His longest tenure was at College of the Sequoias where he started as Librarian, then Dean of Men and ended as Administrator of Night School. Charlotte and LeRoy spent countless hours attending their son's sporting events and subsequent Colleges of Sequoias many activities. They were both very social and made everyone they met feel comfortable and welcome. Charlotte was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law (Tom and Marge Ricotta), daughter-in-law (Diane Berg) and great granddaughter (Katrina Berg). Charlotte is survived by two sons' Dan and Doug (Kathy), four grandchildren Melanie King, Danielle Murphy (Drew), Brad Berg (Alyssa), Breanna Larson (Ben) and seven great grandchildren - Braydon, Eleanor, Levi, Milton, Addison, Ryland, and Harper. She thoroughly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She so looked forward to our family gatherings. We would like to thank the wonderful nurses and caretakers from Kaweah Delta Hospital, Westgate Gardens, Quail Park Cypress, and Infinite Heart Hospice. Everyone made her last days comfortable and safe. We cannot thank them enough for their very special and genuine care of our mom! Remembrances in her name can be sent to the Alzheimer Association, American Diabetes Association, and/or American Cancer Society. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
