Candelario Luna, Jr.

Candelario Luna Jr., 67 of Visalia, California, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on August 20, 2025, in Visalia, California. Candelario was born to Candelario Sr and Maria Luna on September 5, 1957 in Tulare, California. Candelario grew up in Visalia and graduated from Redwood High School. Candelario lost his mother at a young age but was loving raised by his father and bonus mom Teresa. He met Debra in 1976, however, they didn't start their lives together till 1988. Together they raised 4 children, Brandon, Natasha, Desiree and Marissa. He wasn't just a loving role model to his children, but was also there for his nephew, Gabriel Luna and grandson, Andrew De La Garza. His family was always his number one priority. He always knew what to say and had the best advice. He gave the best hugs. He started working at a very young age. His first job was being a custodian, later starting a job with California Wire, where he was a machine operator for California Wire and retired after 30 years. He retired in 2023. Candelario, a lover of football, was a longtime dedicated and loyal fan of the now Las Vegas Raiders. He was always ready to start a football pool to make the games a little more interesting He is survived by his spouse Debra Luna; four children, Desiree Luna (Eric Murrieta), Natasha Luna (Isaac Mendoza), Marissa De La Garza, and Brandon Huerta; 17 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; five siblings, Joe Luna (Betty), Amelia Luna, Gloria Lawson (David), Richard Luna, and Rudy Luna (Spouse); and his nephew, Gabriel Luna. He is preceded in death by his parents, Candelario Luna Sr. and Maria Luna; his Bonus Mom, Teresa Luna, sister, Andrea Luna; and nephew Robert Luna. Candelario will greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Viewing will be held 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday, September 6th, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Funeral services will follow from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday, September 6th, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
