Brian Scott Wingart

Brian S. Wingart of Visalia, CA passed away at his home in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 7th, while he was under the care of his living son, Tyler, and Hospice. Brian was born on July 24, 1968 in Tiffin, Ohio. He is the son of Shirley (Fred) Fay and Raymond (Ramona) Wingart. Our family moved to Visalia, CA in 1981, from Tiffin, Ohio. Brian graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1986. He absolutely loved to go camping at Le-Mar Lake Park in Norwalk, Ohio. He could always be found fishing, playing with his friends, or swimming in the lake. He was always the "class" clown. He could make anyone laugh. Even at a very young age, he was always lighting up everyone's smile! Brian also enjoyed going to the gym. He was very much a fitness fan. Sadly he was injured when he was very young. His back caused him great pain all the rest of his life. But if you knew Brian, he never really showed it. Brian enjoyed going fishing, watching Nascar, and football on TV. Brian has two sons, Joshua (Ashely) Wingart and Tyler Wingart. Brian absolutely loved being a father. He was so proud of his boys. He was extremely grateful and proud to have Tyler help him with the end of his journey on earth. Brian was diagnosed the last weeks of August, with cancer. He was informed it was aggressive and that he may have 1 year. He was a proud man and always had to have the facts. So on Tuesday, September 3, he finally saw the oncologist. Sadly, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. During this visit he under went more testing and other factors found that his cancer was very aggressive and growing at an alarming rate. He was given maybe 6 weeks. Sadly that didn't happen. He fought hard for 4 days! Brian is going to be deeply missed by is 2 sons, Joshua and Tyler of Visalia, CA. His parents, Shirley and Fred Fay of Visalia, CA, Raymond and Ramona Wingart of Visalia, CA, his sister Dawn (David) Lee of Mesa, AZ, Dawn's two sons Craig and Darrin, his brother Chad (Dede) Wingart of Manteca, CA, and their children Kyle and Sierra, and all those who knew him. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Friday, September 27th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia.
