Bertha "Berdie" Alvarez On Sunday, November 14th, 2021, heaven received a new angel. Bertha "Berdie" Alvarez was born December 05, 1958, in Lindsay, California to Enrique and Esther Ramirez. Berdie is survived by her husband Michael Alvarez: Her children Christohpher Ramirez (Dolores Ramirez), Ashley Alvarez, Mykayla Alvarez (Alberto Zavala); Her step-daughter Melissa Garcia ; Her Grandchildren, Jazmin, Christopher Jr., Jacob, Michael and Madison; Her step Grandchildren, Annika, Jessika, Andrew and Johnny; Her mother Esther Ramirez; Her siblings, Susan Gomez (Rigo), Rita Aguilar, Roseanna Medina (Manuel), Mario Ramirez and Enrique Ramirez Jr; Her Mother In-Law, Mary Alvarez; Her Brother In-laws and Sister In-laws; Mando Alvarez (Irene), Arthur Alvarez (Renea), Mark Alvarez (Linda), Sandra Gomez (Robert), Rick Alvarez (Christina), Christy Schwarzwalter (Greg), Emilio Alvarez (Christina) and many loving nieces, nephews, dear friends and family dog Lucky. Berdie is preceded in death by her Father, Enrique Ramirez, Her father In-Law Alfonso Alvarez and Grandson Mason Soto. Berdie married the love of her life, Michael Alvarez on November 08, 1987, in Lake Tahoe, NV surrounded by family. Berdie and Michael resided in Orosi, CA where she started Little Bears Daycare and had for 19 years. She was known as a loving and nurturing mother like figure to many children and families. Berdie was also a foster mom to many children for 11 years. Berdie enjoyed spending a lot of time with family and friends, listening to Vicente Fernandez, dancing, and going to the Casino. She was always seen with a smile on her face. Berdie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, niece, daughter, God Mother, and friend. The Alvarez family wishes to extend our sincere thanks and deepest appreciation to all for your many acts of kindness, comforting words, and prayers during this time. Services will be on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Salser & Dillard Creighton Chapel, 1588 Lincoln Street, Kingsburg, CA 93631. Viewing will be from 10-11am followed by a Prayer service at 11am . Graveside services will follow 1pm at Smith Mountain Cemetery, 42088 Rd. 100, Dinuba, CA 93618. Reception will be from 2:00-4:30 at Orosi Memorial Hall, 41645 Rd. 128, Orosi, CA 93647.
