Barbara Jean Correa-King

Barbara Jean (Borges) Correa-King, born April 10, 1935 to Joe V. Goulart and Josephine Fagundes of Hanford, California. She peacefully entered Heaven's Gates on November 30th, 2017 in Visalia, California surrounded by her children and grandchildren. In 1953, she graduated from Hanford High School. Barbara was a member of the Future Homemakers of America, Girls Glee Club, and the Tri-Hi-Y. After high school she studied floral design at College of the Sequoias. On February 14th, 1955 she married Domingos "Dink" Correa, Jr. They started their own family together having three children: Clarise, Tina, and Kevin. In April 1957 they started their own dairy on Road 68 in Visalia where their family of five ran the dairy and worked the land together. Barbara was a great business woman who did not take life for granted. She was a homemaker, dairy owner, entrepreneur, and retail saleswoman. On June 23rd, 1989, she married Paul "Skip" King in Visalia, California. Together they were very active in many community groups including the Shriners. Barbara found joy in fundraising for the Shriners Hospitals for Children of Northern California to help children in need. She is best remembered by her beautiful smile, kind heart, and outgoing personality. Barbara took great pride in her children and grandchildren's accomplishments as if they were her own. Unconditional love for her family was the core of her soul, this love will stand as her legacy. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Joe V. Goulart and Josephine Fagundes, Sister Angie Shahan, Sister Madeline Borges, and Great-Grandson Wyatt Dilbeck. She is survived by her Daughter Clarise and Howard Dilbeck, their children Christopher and Elizabeth Dilbeck, and Cherice and Ben Galbraith. Daughter Tina Moody and her children Megan and Dean Vlazakis, Craig and Jessica Moody. Son Kevin and Ashli Correa, and their son Gavin Correa. Also, Great-Granddaughter's Alice and Gwen Dilbeck, Great-Grandson John Moody and Great-Granddaughter Sage Galbraith. Brother Alfred and wife Willie Borges, Sister Bernice Barcellos, Brother Vernon Borges, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her children would like to give their sincere thanks to all of her extended family and friends for their love and support.
