Antonio Vasquez Trujillo

Antonio " Tony" Vasquez Trujillo was born on July 27, 1938 and was a resident of Visalia, CA. He passed away Peacefully at 4:44 am on January 30, 2025 with his family at his bedside. He is survived by his wife Erlinda and children: Rene, Sean, and Stephanie and 6 step children and several Grandchildren, as well as two remaining siblings Emily and Margie- several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Tony was born and raised in Tulare, CA. He graduated from Tulare Union High School in 1957. He was a varsity wrestler, ran cross country and swam in High School. He did attend COS and was on one of their first wrestling teams. He was then drafted into the military in 1961 through1964. He went to Ford Ord, CA then onto Sandy Hook, NJ and spent time overseas in Korea during his military service. He returned home from the Military and settled in Tulare CA, where he finished his degree at Fresno State. He worked at Pirelli Tire Co in Hanford, CA for 30 plus years. In 1978, Tony purchased one of the largest homes built from College of the Sequoias (COS). He had it towed out into the country of Visalia and placed on a plot of land, where he raised his family. Tony spent much of his time working in the yard, cheering on his favorite football team, the 49rs, and seeing his grandchildren attend and graduate from Ivy League Colleges, UC, and State Universities with advanced degrees, developing into productive adults. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends celebrating birthdays, weddings and graduations. Tony will be greatly missed by family, friends and co workers. Visitation will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday, February 24th, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 954 S. O ST., Tulare.
