Anita Louise Bragg

Anita Louise Bragg, 87, passed away peacefully in Visalia, CA on September 6, 2025. Anita was born in Fresno, CA on July 5, 1938, to the late Evelyn and Nicholas Lettunich. Her journey in this life was marked by her compassion and love for others, and her unwavering dedication to her family. Anita grew up in Fresno surrounded by her loving family, including her older sister, Lila Swanson. She loved art and music. She attended John Muir Elementary School and graduated from Fresno's Roosevelt High School in 1956. She then attended Fresno State College (now Fresno State University) and graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and went on to earn a teaching credential. After student teaching, she landed a job at Alpha Elementary School in Madera California, teaching a combined third and fourth grade class at what was then a small school in the countryside. A mutual friend introduced her to the man who would become the love of her life, William "Bill" Bragg, in the winter of 1963, going on a trip to the snow in the mountains above Fresno. They were married in Fresno on June 26, 1965, and settled in Visalia after their honeymoon. She continued working as a substitute teacher in the Visalia Unified School District after her marriage. On October 7, 1975, Anita gave birth to her son, Timothy William Bragg. She was a loving and caring mother who supported all of her son's endeavors. Anita became a grandmother on December 15, 2007, with the arrival of her beloved grandson, Vincent Bragg. Anita and William were married for 60 years, celebrating their anniversary just a few months before her death. Anita is survived by her husband Bill of Visalia, son Tim (Anne) Bragg and grandson Vincent of Three Rivers, sister Lila of Las Vegas, cousin Phil Moffett of Fresno and cousin Monica Miller of Tollhouse. Rosary and Homily of Prayers will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
