Amanda Emeria Bane

Amy Bianchi-Bane and Daniel welcomed a child Amanda Emeria Bane on May 6, 1992, in Visalia, California. Amanda passed away at home, surrounded by her loved ones on June 18, 2023, Father's Day. With her mother by her side, Amanda fought Niemann Pick Type C (a form of childhood Alzheimer's) with all her might and never became a victim. As a student at George McCann Memorial Catholic School, Amanda made many friends and was blessed with teachers that watched over her. Her favorite time at GMC was Catholic School Week, when she would perform a lip sync. Her most memorable performance was with her cousin Tanner Hendrick, who performed Dean Martin, That's Amore! Amanda was quite theatrical and excelled in Peach Blossom Poem contests. She was a very joyful and vibrant child! With her love of music, Amanda would mimic the performers by lip-syncing to their songs. With her mother and sister, she cherished attending numerous concerts. She had the privilege in meeting Lone Star, Mercy Me, Carrie Underwood, and Lauren Alaina. Shania Twain was Amanda's all-time favorite performer, and she even attended a concert where she lip-synced every song while there! This gave such joy to her mother! Amanda went on to Golden West High School to finish her schooling. The illness began to manifest itself but because it was so rare, she was misdiagnosed, however Amanda fought it and graduated in 2010. During this time, she was introduced to Happy Trails Therapy from a close family friend, Paul and Marie Ritter. For 14 years, she rode with freedom and pleasure on Clu (her tall/dark Prince) and then Lacey (her white Angel). Amanda was treated with the utmost care and compassion by Happy Trails Staff and Volunteers. She looked forward to riding every week. After graduating from high school, Amanda's symptoms grew worse, prompting additional tests at UCLA and UCSF, where she was later diagnosed on October 4, 2011, with having Niemann Pick Type C, (a form of childhood Alzheimer's). Even though this was an extremely difficult period for her family, her mother persisted in finding Amanda support programs. Amanda and Amy were blessed to have Nancy Kane and Alicia Robello as her long-term dedicated caregivers for many years. Amanda is survived by her loving mother Amy and stepfather Kip Thompson, her caring sister Tara, (Josh). Preceded in death by her father Daniel Bane. She also left behind many loving Aunts, Uncles, Josette & Jon, Luigi &Tracy, Mario & Tamika, Jimmy, & Debbie and close cousins, Tanner, Kyler, Erica, Danielle, Noemi, Michael, and others, along with many loving and dedicated caregivers. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 - 6:00pm @ St Mary's Catholic Church, 608 N Church St, Visalia, CA 93291. Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 1, 2023 - 9:00am @ St Mary's Catholic Church, 608 N Church St, Visalia, CA 93291. After the interment there will be a reception at St Mary's Hall. We ask if you have any clothing with the shade of PURPLE that you wear it. Purple was Amanda's favorite color it stood for hope and perseverance! In lieu of flower we ask that you donate in the Memory of Amanda Bane to Happy Trails Riding Academy, P.O. Box 572, Visalia, Ca 93279. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
