Roy Oscar Van Order Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Roy Oscar VanOrder 1932-2021 Roy Oscar VanOrder was 89 years and 7months young. Roy was born in Tulare County Hospital to Earl and Effie VanOrder and raised in Goshen, California. He was the youngest of 11 children. All have proceeded him in death except one brother, Allen and his wife Bonnie VanOrder of Coarsegold, California. Roy served in the United States Navy from 1950-1954. Roy met his soul mate, Ruth Longest in 1956. They fell in love and married in 1957. They later had two boys, Nathaniel and Clifford VanOrder. Roy worked for sawmills around the Indian Valley, Comptonville, Sierra Valley, Yuba and Nevada county for 42 years. After retiring, he moved back to Woodlake, California, where his wife was born and raised. Roy leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Ruth; sons, Nanthaniel VanOrder and wife, Shannon of North San Juan and Clifford VanOrder of Woodlake. His grandchildren; Michelle Helleson of Portola, CA, Nathaniel Roy VanOrder of Comptonville and Haley VanOrder of Gredley. He will also be missed by his Great Grandchildren; Brandon Manross and Isabella Helleson of Portola, as well as many nephews and nieces. He was a member of Woodlake Christian Center since 1997. Roy is in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. For to be absent from this body is to be present with our Lord. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, October 1st, 2021 at Woodlake Public Cemetery, 165 N Cypress St, Woodlake, CA. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
