Richard Anthony Flores

On July 14th, 2024, we bid farewell to Richard Anthony Flores. Richard passed away in Tulare, CA, at the age of 75, surrounded by his loved ones. The son of Clemente and Antonia Flores, Richard came into this world on January 31st, 1949. The third oldest of eight siblings, he was born and raised in Tulare, CA and was a graduate of Tulare Western High School. In 1969, Richard met the love of his life, Diane Villa. Ironically, they met at a wedding in which he was the best man and she was the maid of honor. They married a year later and soon after started their family. Together, they share two daughters, Monica and Maria. Richard and Diane recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. Richard worked at General Cable in Lindsay, CA for 25 years. Upon company closure, he decided to return to school at San Joaquin Valley College, where he earned his Associates Degree in Business Administration. Rather than pursuing a traditional job, he pursued his passion for buying and reselling. While he fulfilled his passion and enjoyed what he did for a living, there was nothing more important to Richard than his family. He was the epitome of a family man. He enjoyed traveling, collecting, riding his bike, building puzzles, and cheering on his grandchildren for every accomplishment. Everywhere Richard went, he knew somebody or somebody knew him. His friendliness and kindness to all people and his love for his family is a tribute to the beauty of his heart and soul. Richard is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Clemente Jr, Helen, Edward, Michael, Celestino, Linda, and is survived by his baby brother Salvadore. Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife Diane, and his daughters Monica (husband Ray) and Maria (husband Chris). He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Alex (wife Sandra), Andrew (fiancee Maryssa), Anissa, Emma, his great-grandchild, Maya, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Known for his strength and wisdom, Richard's memory will live on in our hearts. Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Reception services will be held 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Life Event Center, 135 E Caldwell Ave, Visalia.
