Michael Anthony Salierno

Michael Anthony Salierno went home to his heavenly father on March 19, 2024, at the age of 58. Michael passed peacefully at home after a long and courageous fight against cancer with his family by his side. He was born April 28, 1965, in Visalia, California where he resided his entire life. He attended Veva Blunt, Green Acres and graduated in 1983 from Redwood High School. After high school he began his life's work in the construction field. Michael loved fishing, the mountains, the coast, old cars (he attended car shows in the area and the coast) and his most recent car show in Exeter on March 16th. He loved anything old (antiques) and decorating his home and yard. Michael's incredible work ethic and accomplishments are second to his loving and engaging personality. Those who were blessed to be in his life have felt his affirming and validating love, as he genuinely cared for everyone he met. Michael's children, Michaela, and Gavin along with family and friends were the most important part of his life. Michael used his technical skills to combine with his generous and compassionate nature to help anyone and everyone. If anyone needed help, Michael was the first one there to help repair, replace, fix, or move someone without them asking and without expectation of anything in return. Some men come into our lives and make a lasting impression on our hearts. They show us how to live life to the fullest, how to love others well, and how to make a difference in the world around them. Michael was one of those men and his loss will be deeply felt by so many who knew him. Michael is survived by his two precious children, daughter Michaela Salierno and son Gavin Salierno of Visalia, who made their father proud. His parents Tony and Mary Salierno, Visalia, and siblings Cathy Lewis, Kurt (Pam) Salierno, Stefani Salierno (Jeff) Fisher, all of Visalia and Jennifer (Ryan) January of Reseda, Ca. Michael also leaves behind numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Naylor of Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
