Kevin Charles Roberts

Kevin Charles Roberts, 59, passed away on February 8, 2016 at Kaweah Delta Hospital after a brief battle with Cancer. He was born on July 19, 1956 in Glendale, California to Charles Lee Roberts and Marilyn Dee (Mays) Roberts. Kevin grew up in Southern California, where he attended Alhambra High School and graduated in 1974. Following high school, Kevin proudly attended the University of California, Los Angeles. Kevin graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in History from UCLA in 1979. Kevin remained true to his alma mater throughout his life and was a very devoted UCLA sports fan. In 1981 Kevin began working as a clerk with Longs Drugs Store. He continued to grow in his career with Longs Drugs until the date it was purchased by CVS Pharmacy. Kevin was an extremely hard working man and loved his work family with all his heart. He was a true leader and always believed he should lead by example. He never asked his employees to do anything he wasn’t willing to do himself. Kevin was the Store Manager of the CVS Pharmacy until the date of his death. In September 1987, Kevin married the true love of his life, Karen (Russell) Roberts. She remained his love and best friend for the past 28 years. Kevin and his wife, Karen, enjoyed spending their time with their seven grandchildren. Kevin’s grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as “Pata”, loved to see him at all their sporting events, recital’s, awards, and programs. They miss their “Pata” tremendously. Kevin was a true family man. He always went out of his way to make holidays, vacations, and events the best they could possibility be. Kevin always had special surprises up his sleeve and loved to prank his family. He went out of his way to make people smile. Kevin always went the extra mile to make sure that his family came first. Kevin’s family all love him so much for making their lives wonderful. Kevin was proceeded in death by his Father, Charles Roberts and his Grandparents, Bruce and Jody Mays. Kevin is survived by his Wife, Karen Roberts of Visalia; his daughter, Jennifer Bass and her Husband Dewayne Bass and their children Joshua, Nathaniel and Zoe of Visalia; his daughter Kristin Hall and her husband Cory Hall and their children Seth, Jayden, Kaelyn and Conley of Visalia; Kevin’s Mother, Marilyn Roberts of Covina; Kevin’s Sisters Jayme Macias of West Covina and Karin Ortiz of Castaic and their respective families. Kevin is also survived by his fur babies, his beloved Chihuahua’s, Lexie, Lizzie and Coco. A service celebrating Kevin’s life will be held on February 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel at 127 E. Caldwell Avenue; Visalia, California. A dessert reception will be immediately following at GateWay Church of Visalia at 1100 S. Sowell Street; Visalia, California. Kevin really loved animals.
