Harvey Lester Kilgore

Harvey Lester Kilgore went home to the Lord on October 10th, 2023 at the age of 83. He was born March 5, 1940, in Visalia, California, the son of Roy and Rosie Kilgore. He grew up on the farm with his parents and ten brothers and sisters. He worked in several different occupations, including farming, retail foods, real estate, and ministry with the Assemblies of God. Harvey was blessed with two sons, Scott and Ken, from his first marriage. Then, on May 5th, 1974, he married Candi Davidson and was blessed with an additional son, Patrick. Harvey loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength. He was a beacon of light for our family and all who knew him. He treasured his time as an evangelist, sharing the gospel locally and globally. In his later years, he would often be found in his study, praying and meditating on God's Word for many hours. He loved to sing praises to the Lord and even made up his own songs while doing everyday tasks. He loved to laugh, talk, and eat. He cherished the many long conversations with his brothers, sisters, and other family members. He enjoyed having family meals, his favorites being steak, potatoes, pork & beans, and, of course, ice cream. Harvey will be lovingly remembered by his wife Candi Kilgore, his sons Scott Kilgore, Ken (Annette) Kilgore, and Patrick (Tiffany) Davidson, granddaughters Carolyn Kilgore, Tiffany (Travis) Ford, Kylie and Makenna Davidson, Aubrey and Daivion and great-grandson Hudson Ford. Viewing will be held 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, October 20th, 2023 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 at Rocky Hill Community Church, 237 South E. Street, Exeter. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 at Exeter District Cemetery, 719 E. Marinette Ave., Exeter. Celebration of Life will follow at Ford Farms, 22827 Rd 180, Lindsay, CA. Please send flowers to Rocky Hill Community Church, 237 South E. Street, Exeter, CA.
