Elaine Jennifer Erwin

Elaine Jennifer Erwin, 46, of Visalia, California went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on the morning of April 27, 2023. Elaine had been surrounded by her family on the previous night for prayer and singing, allowing her family to share stories about Elaine and to celebrate a life lived well. Elaine passed peacefully the following morning. Elaine is the beloved daughter of Randy and Norma Erwin, and much loved sister of Heidi Erwin, Alicia Grim, and Jamey Nottoli. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Brant Grim and Tony Nottoli, niece Ava Grim and nephew Noah Grim. Elaine was also blessed throughout her life by her extended family: grandparents Robert and Elsie Erwin (Deceased) and Jim and Juanita Casper (Deceased), Wayne and Joanne Erwin (Deceased), Floyd and Sandra Jones, Sonny Chapa, Albert Chapa, Marvin Chapa, Nora AAnn Baker, Ida and Darus Johnson, Russell Miller (Deceased), Ed Baker, Chuck Lohr, and many cousins. Elaine attended Special Education from age 2 through her 21st year. She graduated from the Tulare County ACCEL Program at Maple Learning Center in 1998. She lived the remaining of her life at home being cared for by her family and care providers, including Silvia Slocum and Diane Moore. Elaine loved to listen to gospel and classical music, Raffi and Psalty. She enjoyed road trips, camping, splashing in water, watching musicals, game shows, football, basketball, baseball, and Tiger Woods golfing. She also enjoyed those who read and sang to her and blew bubbles for her, watching her niece Ava and nephew Noah play, going to church, and praising the Lord. Elaine's great smile and laughter pleased those around her. The limitations with which she was born did not limit the value of her life for those who knew her; she will be much missed. A Memorial Service will be held on May 8th at 5pm at the Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E Caldwell in Visalia. For those who wish to say goodbye, she can be viewed from 4pm to 5pm on the same day. Also, her family would be pleased to have all who wish to attend a short burial service with butterfly release on May 9th at 9am at the Visalia Cemetery.
