In Loving Memory of Antonio Contreras Torres Antonio Contreras Torres, born on November 2, 1968, in Santiago Tangamandapio, Michoacan, peacefully passed away on December 31, 2023. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Alma Contreras, and cherished children Alma, Yareli, Bryan, Roy, and Nicole. Not only a loving father, Antonio was also a proud grandfather to Deilyn, Cristina, Madelyn, Catalina, Lianna, and we all know he will continue to be for any future grandchildren. Born to Antonio and Consuelo Contreras, Antonio completed his education through the ninth-grade. Despite limited formal education, Antonio's ambition to be more than what meets the eye directly impacted his contributions to his profession. He consistently proved to be an invaluable asset, through his innovative way of thinking and always striving to be better than the day before. His dedication and work ethic left an enduring mark on the professional circles he touched for he left them with wisdom and the opportunity to grow. Antonio was a self-determined man that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. From caring for his dairy cows and drinking the milk in traditional pajaretes, he loved to spend time at the Terreno. This is where he would exercise his God's Gift of a green-thumb to reap what he sowed. Anything and everything he planted thrived. He grew tomatillos, zucchini, tomatoes, and so many different fruits/vegtables. He even grew a banana tree! His hobbies took form in more than this as he took pleasure in collecting firearms and found entertainment in watching boxing and movies with his beloved family. Known and respected for his stoic and headstrong demeanor, Antonio had a beautiful sense of humor; when he cracked a joke, laughter was sure to follow. Family was paramount to Antonio. He valued each member and maintained a high standard of living for his children, instilling in them the importance of education, continual-progress, and integrity. Although the head of the household, he was not always vocal but was always profoundly present, demonstrating his love through actions. In the final months of his life, Antonio found solace in faith. He began to appreciate the power of forgiveness and care, embodying a profound belief in the redemption offered by Jesus Christ, who, in his conviction, sacrificed for the sins of the world. Antonio Contreras Torres will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to family, his impactful contributions to his profession, and the love he shared with those around him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him. Visitation will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday, January 15th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 at Restoration Church, 705 S. Ben Maddox, Visalia. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 at Woodlake Public Cemetery, 165 N Cypress St, Woodlake. Services have been entrusted to Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
